Maple Leafs' Ekman-Larsson fined for hit on Lightning's Guentzel

Check this out, as Maple Leafs defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson starts a little scrum then heads to the sin bin, after smoking Lightning's Jake Guentzel to the ground with the back of his body, getting two minutes for interference.

Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson was fined for a penalty he took in Monday's win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The $5,000 fine was handed down for interference. Ekman-Larsson took the penalty early in the third period when he threw a hit on Tampa Bay's Jake Guentzel.

The money will go into the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

Ekman-Larsson has four assists in six games this season, his first with the Maple Leafs.
