The Toronto Maple Leafs will be without Calle Jarnkrok for at least two weeks after the forward suffered a groin injury during Wednesday's win over the San Jose Sharks.
Jarnkrok suffered the injury in the second period and was replaced by Nick Robertson on the second line. Robertson remained in that spot in practice with John Tavares and Mitch Marner on Friday.
The 31-year-old native of Sweden has five goals and four assists in 24 games this season. Jarnkrok signed a four-year deal with the Maple Leafs during the summer.
Head coach Sheldon Keefe also said that defenceman T.J. Brodie will travel with the Leafs on their road trip but is not expected to play in either game against the Tampa Bay Lightning or Dallas Stars. Brodie has been sidelined since Nov. 11 with an oblique injury.
