The Toronto Maple Leafs will get another regular forward back in the lineup with Bobby McMann activated off injured reserve ahead of Saturday's game against the Detroit Red Wings.
McMann has been sidelined for the last seven games with a groin injury. The 28-year-old got injured back on Nov. 27 against the Florida Panthers.
In 21 games this season, McMann has contributed six goals and seven points. He is expected to play on the third line with Fraser Minten and Max Domi.
Unfortunately for Toronto, Anthony Stolarz will not be available for either game in their weekend back-to-back against the Red Wings and Buffalo Sabres. The goaltender did make the trip with the team to Detroit.
Leafs coach Craig Berube told reporters Friday that the team received good news on Stolarz, who is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
Stolarz suffered the injury in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks and was replaced by Joseph Woll.
The Leafs recalled Dennis Hiledeby from the AHL's Toronto Marlies on an emergency basis.
Stolarz is 9-5-2 with a 2.15 goals-against average and .927 save percentage this season.
