Toronto Maple Leafs veteran defenceman Mark Giordano will return to the lineup for Thursday's game against the Washington Capitals, the team announced.
The 40-year-old blueliner will play for the first time since he suffered a concussion in a game against the Arizona Coyotes on Feb. 29.
Giordano has one goal and six assists for seven points in 38 games for Toronto this season.
Giordano comes into the lineup because defenceman Timothy Liljegren was ruled out by the team with an upper-body injury.
Liljegren, 24, has three goals and 20 assists in 52 games this season.
You can watch the Maple Leafs take on the Capitals live on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.
