Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Mark Giordano will not play Thursday against the Seattle Kraken after exiting Tuesday's game against the Florida Panthers with a hand injury, coach Sheldon Keefe told reporters on Wednesday.
Keefe says Giordano is being evaluated by doctors and it is unclear how long the blue-liner will be unavailable.
Giordano, 40, exited Tuesday's game in the first period after skating 6:31. He was not on the ice to begin the second period and the team subsequently announced he would not return.
Giordano has five points (one goal and four assists) over 20 appearances this season.
