Toronto Maple Leafs forward Ilya Mikheyev left Thursday night's game against the Minnesota Wild with a non-COVID illness, the team announced during the second period.

Mikheyev only logged four minutes, 39 seconds of ice time before exiting the contest.

The 27-year-old from Omsk, Russia, has eight goals and three assists in 21 games this season.

After the game, Toronto head coach Sheldon Keefe said Mikheyev had "stomach issues."

The Maple Leafs defeated the Wild 3-1 to snap a three-game losing skid.
