The Toronto Maple Leafs took to the ice on Wednesday at Centennial Centre in Gravenhurst Ont., with head coach Sheldon Keefe shuffling the lineup with some players returning.
Cälle Jarnkrok was back skating on a regular line with rookies Fraser Minten and Matthew Knies after missing some time in camp after twisting his neck. He was practising in a none-contact jersey and has yet to appear in a pre-season game.
The addition of Jarnkrok to practice also led to another notable change to the Leafs' practice lines with William Nylander returning to the wing on a line with John Tavares at centre and Max Domi at left wing.
Defenceman John Klingberg remains absent from practice but Keefe said that he is expected to start skating on Thursday.
The 31-year-old from Gothenburg, Sweden, joined the Maple Leafs during free agency after signing a one-year, $4.15-million contract on July 1.
The Leafs will return to Toronto from their trip to Gravenhurst ahead of their next pre-season game at home against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday, before finishing their pre-season schedule on Saturday.
