The Toronto Maple Leafs continue to finalize their training camp roster, announcing Tuesday that goalie Jon Gillies would be attending on a professional tryout.
Gillies, 30, was a third-round pick by the Calgary Flames in 2012. Since then he's made 35 appearances at the NHL level, with the Flames, Blues, Devils, and most recently the Blue Jackets during the 2022-23 season. Born in Concord, N.H., the American has a career 8-16 record to go with a 3.39 goals-against average and .891 save percentage.
Gillies played 15 games for the Tucson Roadrunners in 2022-23, posting a 3.70 GAA and .878 save percentage in the American Hockey League.
