The Toronto Maple Leafs called up goaltender Martin Jones on an emergency basis with Ilya Samsonov unavailable for Saturday's game against the Boston Bruins, the team announced.
Jones will back up starter Joseph Woll, who will get his fourth straight start between the pipes.
Jones, 33, has a 3.37 goals-against average and .870 save percentage in five games with the AHL's Toronto Marlies this season.
In other Maple Leafs news, Sports Illustrated's David Alter reported that forward Ryan Reaves was in regular whites at the morning skate and looks to be coming into the lineup for Saturday's game. Bobby McMann was wearing extra greys.
The Maple Leafs (12-6-3) have won their past two games in a shootout.
