Toronto Maple Leafs forward Ondrej Kase left Thursday’s game against the Calgary Flames after a hit from Nikita Zadorov.
The play occurred midway through the first period. Kase was hit after he missed a pass in the defensive zone and stayed down on the ice before getting up and skating to the bench. He did not return for precautionary reasons.
The Leafs came into the game with only 11 forward dressed with Wayne Simmonds remaining in Toronto for the birth of his daughter.
In 35 games this season, Kase has eight goals and 17 points.
