Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matthew Knies will not be available for Tuesday's game against the New York Rangers because of illness, the team said.
Knies, in his first full season in the NHL, has six goals and five assists in 25 games.
The six-foot-three winger was picked in the second round (57th overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft by Toronto.
Last season, Knies was the Big Ten player of the year at Minnesota before signing with the Leafs late in the campaign.
