Toronto Maple Leafs forward Sam Lafferty has been fined $3,108.11 by the National Hockey League Department of Player Safety.
Lafferty's fine, the maximum allowed under the collective bargaining agreement, was given for his cross-check towards Tampa Bay Lightning forward Ross Colton in Game 3.
Lafferty cross-checked Colton in the face while the Tampa centre was standing along Toronto's crease at 15:10 of the second period. Lafferty received a two-minute minor for roughing on the play.
