Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Matt Murray left the game with an apparent injury in the first period against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday.
Red Wings defenceman Lucas Raymond lost his footing as he skated through the crease and accidentally clipped the Leafs netminder, who fell and hit the ice hard.
Murray was slow to get up and left for the locker-room. Ilya Samsonov replaced him in goal with the team trailing 2-1.
After the game, Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe said Murray was tested for a concuussion, but had no further update.
Murray had blocked five of the seven shots sent his way in 16:16 of action.
The 28-year-old holds a 14-8-3 record with a 2.97 goals-against average and .905 save percentage this season.
