Maple Leafs' Muzzin to play against Red Wings, but Bunting still out

Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Jake Muzzin has been given the green light to return to the lineup against the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night. The veteran missed six games with an undisclosed injury.

Head coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed as much in the morning, while adding that forward Michael Bunting will not play this week, despite the positive sign of him skating that day.

Keefe also provided updates on injured defenceman Rasmus Sandin, who was looking for some good news from appointments on Tuesday.

"If that goes well, I think you'll see him joining the team for practice and we'll go from there," said Keefe.

Winger Ondrej Kâse, out with a concussion, remains "day to day," said Keefe.
