The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed NCAA defenceman John Prokop to a one-year contract for the 2025-26 season.
Prokop has played the last three seasons with Union College and has 85 points in 107 games at the NCAA level. This season he has 27 points in 36 games.
The 23-year-old from Wausau, Wis., was never drafted but has previously attended development camp with the Vegas Golden Knights.

Prokop will join the Maple Leafs' AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, for the remainder of the 2024-25 season on an amateur tryout.
