The injury-riddled Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled defenceman Max Lajoie from the AHL's Toronto Marlies, the team announced Thursday.
Defencemen Mark Giordano (hand), John Klingberg (hip) and Timothy Liljegren (lower-body injury) are out for Toronto.
Lajoie, 26, has five assists in 14 games for the Marlies this season. He played one game for the Leafs this season, Nov. 4 against the Buffalo Sabres.
In 71 career NHL games, Lajoie has seven goals and eight assists with the Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes and Ottawa Senators.
Lajoie signed a two-way contract with the Leafs this off-season.
The Leafs host the Seattle Kraken on Thursday.
