The Toronto Maple Leafs recalled forward Kyle Clifford and defenceman Carl Dahlstrom on an emergency basis Monday.
Clifford has two assists in 13 games with the Maple Leafs and three goals in nine games with the AHL's Toronto Marlies this season.
The 31-year-old Clifford, who originally arrived in Toronto as part of the Jack Campbell deal with the Los Angeles Kings in February 2020, rejoined the club on Nov. 16 in a trade with the St. Louis Blues for future considerations.
Clifford has 142 points (65 goals and 77 assists) in 741 games with Los Angeles, Toronto and St. Louis.
Dahlstrom, who has played one game with the Maple Leafs this season, has 13 assists in 40 games with the Marlies.
The 27-year-old Swedish rearguard was signed as a free agent over the summer and has 10 assists in 65 games with the Chicago Blackhawks, Winnipeg Jets and Maple Leafs.
