The Toronto Maple Leafs recalled forward Pontus Holmberg from the AHL's Toronto Marlies, the team announced Saturday.
Holmberg has appeared in seven games with the Leafs this season but has not recorded a point. He last played in the NHL on Nov. 4.
The 24-year-old has six goals and 10 points in 11 games with the Marlies this season.
The move comes a couple of days after Ryan Reaves was forced to leave Thursday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets with an injury.
