The Toronto Maple Leafs continue to make their final preparations for the regular season sending Nicholas Robertson, Pontus Holmberg and eight other players to the Toronto Marlies on Monday.
Also sent down to the AHL were forwards Nick Abruzzese, Max Ellis, Roni Hirvonen, Logan Shaw and Ryan Tverberg plus defencemen Topi Niemelä and Marshall Rifai and goaltender Dennis Hildeby.
Still with the team are rookies Fraser Minten, Easton Cowan, Mikko Kokkonen and Noah Gregor on his professional tryout, although more cuts are still expected before NHL opening night rosters are due at 5 p.m. ET.
On Sunday, Toronto placed goaltender Martin Jones, defencemen Simon Benoit, William Lagesson and Maxime Lajoie plus forwards Kyle Clifford and Dylan Gambrell on waivers.
