Maple Leafs sign goaltender Erik Kallgren to two-year, two-way contract

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed goaltender Erik Källgren to a two-year, two-way contract, the club announced Wednesday.

The deal has an average annual NHL salary value of $750,000.

Källgren was originally selected by the Arizona Coyotes in the seventh round (183rd overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.

This season, the 24-year-old netminder appeared in 21 regular-season games for Växjö HC of the Swedish Hockey League, posting a 12-9-0 record with a 2.37 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage.

Källgren also helped Växjö HC to Swedish Hockey League Championship, going 7-3-0 with a .937 SV% during the post-season.
