The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed goaltender Harri Sateri to a one-year, one-way deal worth $750,000, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.
Sateri will have to clear waivers before he can officially join the Leafs and won't be registered until Monday which will then determine if he stays with the NHL club, CapFriendly.com explains.
Sateri won gold with Finland at the Beijing Winter Olympics and posted a 14-16-5 record with a 2.02 GAA and .926 SV over 38 games in the KHL this past season.
The Finnish goalie was a fourth-round draft pick of the San Jose Sharks in the 2008 NHL Draft. He made nine appearances with the Flordia Panthers going 4-4-0 with a 2.92 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage.
