Maple Leafs defenceman Conor Timmins has been fined $2,864.58 by the NHL Department of Player Safety, the league announced on Monday.
The fine stems from cross-checking Seattle's Brandon Tanev in Monday's Leafs win over the Kraken and is the maximum allowed under the collective-bargaining agreement.
The incident occurred at 2:12 of the first period and saw Timmins assessed a minor penalty on the play.
