Martin Jones will get the start in goal again for the Toronto Maple when they host the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night.
The 33-year-old is getting the nod for the fourth time in the last five games, with Joseph Woll out with an ankle injury and Ilya Samsonov struggling. Jones is 4-1-0 in six games since being called up from the AHL Marlies, with a 2.79 goals-against average and .917 save percentage.
The Leafs-Sens game will be featured on Wednesday Night Hockey and can be seen on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.
Veteran defenceman Mark Giordano will not play, though head coach Sheldon Keefe says "he's real close." The 40-year-old has not played since Nov. 28, when he suffered a broken finger against the Florida Panthers.
When asked for updates on Woll and winger Ryan Reaves, Keefe was less optimistic, indicating that neither player had been on skates.
