The Toronto Maple Leafs and Calgary Flames were among the teams to place players on waivers one day before the NHL's trade deadline.
The Maple Leafs waived defenceman William Lagesson, while the Flames waived defenceman Jordan Oesterle.
Other players on waivers Thursday were Brendan Lemieux (Hurricanes), Tony DeAngelo (Hurricanes), Antti Raanta (Hurricanes), Boris Katchouk (Blackhawks), Evan Cormier (Panthers) and Tobias Bjornfot (Golden Knights).
Claimed off waivers on Thursday was forward Jaret Anderson-Dolan, who was picked up by the Predators from the Kings.
Ryan Johansen (Flyers), Will Lockwood (Panthers) and Jacob Moverare (Kings) all cleared.
