Toronto Maple Leafs centre Auston Matthews, Edmonton Oilers centre Connor McDavid and Nashville Predators defenceman Roman Josi have been named finalists for the 2022 Ted Lindsay Award.
The award, voted by NHL players, is presented to the most outstanding player in the league.
Josi is a first-time finalist, McDavid is looking to receive his second consecutive and fourth Ted Lindsay Award in six seasons and Matthews is vying for his first TLA after finishing as a finalist last season.
Matthews led the league with 60 goals this season. He is looking to become the first Leaf to win the Ted Lindsay Award.
McDavid led the league in scoring with 123 points, capturing his fourth Art Ross Trophy.
Both McDavid and Matthews will play in a Game 7 on Saturday -- the Oilers host the Los Angeles Kings and the Maple Leafs entertain the Tampa Bay Lightning to wrap up first-round series.
McDavid and Matthews were named finalists for the Hart Trophy as the NHL's most valuable player on Thursday.
Josi set a Predators record with 96 points, helping Nashville reach the playoffs for the eighth season in a row.
Josi is looking to become the first Predator to win the Ted Lindsay Award and the second defenceman (Bobby Orr, 1974-75).
All NHL Awards will be presented during the Conference Finals and Stanley Cup Final.
