Burly winger Milan Lucic is returning to where his NHL career started, agreeing to a one-year, $1-million deal with the Boston Bruins on Saturday.
Lucic, 35, is coming off a four-year stint with the Calgary Flames.
Drafted by the Bruins 50th overall in the 2006 NHL Draft, the Vancouver native spent his first eight seasons with Boston, highlighted by the team’s Stanley Cup championship in 2011.
In 1,173 career games with the Bruins, Kings, Oilers and Flames, Lucic has 233 goals and 351 assists for 584 points to go along with 1,299 minutes in penalties.
