The Minnesota Wild have signed forward Sam Steel to a one-year, $825,000 contract.
Steel had 20 points in 68 games for the Anaheim Ducks last season while registering a career-high 27 blocks while also tying his career-best in goals with six. Since joining the NHL, the 24-year-old has 65 points in 197 career NHL games.
The Ducks selected Steel with the 30th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft. He also named the MVP of the 2018 Memorial Cup with the Regina Pats.
