The New York Islanders have signed forward Maxim Tsyplakov to a one-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Thursday.
Tsyplakov has spent the past seven seasons with Moscow Spartak of the Kontinental Hockey League.
The undrafted 25-year-old recorded career highs of 31 goals and 47 points this past season and finished fourth in the league in scoring.
He has recorded a total of 63 goals and 58 assists for 121 points in 327 games in the KHL.
