The New York Rangers and defenceman Brandon Scanlin have agreed to terms on a one-year contract ahead of their scheduled arbitration hearing.
The agreement is for a one-year, two-way deal that will pay the 24-year-old $775,000 at the NHL level. The parties were scheduled for arbitration on Friday.
Scanlin, born in Hamilton, Ont., has yet to play in the NHL. In 61 games with the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack in 2022-23, he tallied four goals and 11 assists for 15 points.
