The NHL has added Winnipeg Jets winger Kyle Connor and New York Rangers centre Vincent Trocheck to the All-Start Game rosters.
Their additions were necessitated by injuries to Jack Eichel of the Vegas Golden Knights and rookie Connor Bedard of the Chicago Blackhawks.
This is Connor's second trip to the All-Star Game and comes in a season where he has scored 18 goals and 11 assists in 28 games. The 27-year-old has helped his team to a 30-11-4 record, whose 64 points is good for second place in the Western Conference.
Trocheck, 30, is on pace for single-season career highs in assists and points, having posted 15 goals, 29 assists and 44 points in 46 games so far. His lone previous All-Star Game appearance came in 2017. The Rangers (29-15-2, 60 points) has them sitting in second place in the Eastern Conference.
