The players aren't the only ones who will be on display at the upcoming NHL All-Star Game. Thirty NHL mascots will participate for the ninth time in a showcase of hockey skills and athletic prowess during the four-day event.
The NHL All-Star Game takes place from Thursday, Feb. 1 to Sunday, Feb. 4 in Toronto.
The mascots will get things warmed up with a game of dodgeball on Thursday night before diving into a hockey skills competition (breakaways, accuracy shooting, hardest shot, etc.) on Friday. The all-important T-Shirt Target event — which is a true test of every mascot's abilities — will also be featured.
The mascots will then follow the NHL All-Star Skills competition on Friday by participating in a game of their own.
On Saturday, the mascots will play some street hockey. On Sunday, they will participate in a game of musical chairs.
Every Canadian NHL team will be represented at the event, led by host Carlton the Bear of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
