The official event participation list for the brand-new NHL All-Star Skills competition is here.
A revamped format will feature 12 All-Stars competing for points in eight events, with the player who brings in the most points taking home a $1 million prize.
The 12 players competing in the brand new event are: Edmonton Oilers' Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, Vancouver Canucks' Quinn Hughes, Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller, Toronto Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews and William Nylander, Boston Bruins' David Pastrnak, Colorado Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar, New York Islanders' Mathew Barzal and Tampa Bay Lightning's Nikita Kucherov.
Each player will compete in four of the first six events and earn points based on how high they place.
The initial six events are the fastest skater, hardest shot, stick handling, one timers, passing challenge and accuracy shooting.
Below are what events each player will be taking place in as well as their order of participation in that skill:
After each player participates in his four events, the top eight players advance to a seventh event — a One-on-One where the player gets to choose the goalie they will shoot against.
The top six point-earners will then advance to the Obstacle Course, the eighth and final event. Point totals for the Obstacle Course will be doubled and the skater with the most points accumulated at the end of the eight events will take home the $1 million prize.
