The NHL has begun to unveil the schedule for the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, with six of the eight series officially confirmed after Thursday's games.
The puck will drop on Monday with the Florida Panthers at the Boston Bruins, the New York Islanders at the Carolina Hurricanes, the Los Angeles Kings at the Edmonton Oilers and the Dallas Stars hosting either the Seattle Kraken or Minnesota Wild.
These four series will all play Game 2 on Wednesday.
Then on Tuesday, the Toronto Maple Leafs will begin their series against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the New York Rangers will cross the Hudson to face the New Jersey Devils, the Vegas Golden Knights will host the Winnipeg Jets and the Colorado Avalanche will begin their defence of the Cup by hosting either the Kraken or Wild.
These four series will all play Game 2 next Thursday.
The Avalanche will face the Nashville Predators on Friday to close out their regular-season schedule. With a win, the Avalanche will win the Central Division and face the Kraken while the Stars would face the Wild. However, if the Avalanche do not secure two points against the Predators Dallas will face Seattle and Colorado will take on Minnesota.
Sportsnet and SN NOW will have complete broadcast coverage of every game in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. A complete schedule and other broadcast details will be announced soon.
