Nick Foligno will make his debut for the Toronto Maple Leafs against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday.
Acquired by the Leafs ahead of the NHL trade deadline, Foligno joined the team in Winnipeg after completing his seven-day quarantine at his home in Sudbury, Ont. The 33-year-old was skating on the Leafs’ top line with Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner at practice.
The former Blue Jackets captain was traded to Toronto on April 11 for a first-round pick in the 2021 NHL draft and a fourth-round selection in 2022.
Keefe also said that Ilya Mikheyev will be a game-time decision after missing Tuesday’s game against the Vancouver Canucks with an undisclosed injury.
Jack Campbell will get the start in goal as the Leafs take on the Jets on a Thursday edition of Wednesday Night Hockey on Sportsnet with puck drop set for 7:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT.
