The Edmonton Oilers are bringing back goaltender Mike Smith on a two-year deal worth in the range of $2 million per season, per Sportsnet‘s Chris Johnston.
In 29 games last season, Smith posted a 21-6-2 record with a 2.31 goals-against average and.923 save percentage.
During the Oilers’ first-round sweep at the hands of the Winnipeg Jets, Smith had a .912 save percentage and a 2.40 GAA.
The 39-year-old re-signed with the Oilers last season on a one-year, $1.5-million deal after initially joining Edmonton on a one-year, $2-million deal as a free agent in 2019.
