Oilers defenceman Kris Russell day-to-day with lower-body injury

Edmonton Oilers veteran defenceman Kris Russell is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, according to head coach Dave Tippett.

Caleb Jones, 23, will draw in as Russell's replacement when the Oilers take on the Ottawa Senators Friday night.

The 33-year-old Russell has six assists through 19 games in his fifth season with Edmonton. Jones will play in his 15th game and has one assist in the 2020-21 campaign.
