The NHL's department of player safety fined Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane $2,500 on Friday for unsportsmanlike conduct against Columbus Blue Jackets forward Cole Sillinger.
The incident occurred during the second period of Thursday's game between the Oilers and Blue Jackets.
Kane was given a warning by the league in December 2023 after hitting Minnesota Wild defenceman Jonas Brodin from behind into the boards.
