The Edmonton Oilers announced that the founder of the National Women's Hockey League, Dani Rylan Kearney, has joined the team's hockey operations department as a regional scout.
Rylan Kearney founded the NWHL, which was later renamed the Premier Hockey Federation, in 2015 and served as the league's commissioner from 2015 to 2020.
The 36-year-old spent her playing days with the Northeastern women's hockey program scoring six goals and adding 14 assists over two seasons.
