Oilers hire NWHL founder Dani Rylan Kearney as regional scout

The Edmonton Oilers announced that the founder of the National Women's Hockey League, Dani Rylan Kearney, has joined the team's hockey operations department as a regional scout.

Rylan Kearney founded the NWHL, which was later renamed the Premier Hockey Federation, in 2015 and served as the league's commissioner from 2015 to 2020.

The 36-year-old spent her playing days with the Northeastern women's hockey program scoring six goals and adding 14 assists over two seasons.
