The Edmonton Oilers managed to take down the Ottawa Senators, even without a top winger for much of the second half of the game.
Zach Hyman left late in the second period and didn't return after colliding with Senators defenceman Nick Jensen while trying to remain onside.
Vasily Podkolzin replaced Hyman on the top line for the remainder of the game. Hyman finished with 13:17 of ice time.
Head coach Kris Knoblauch did not have an update on Hyman's condition after the game.
Hyman, 32, is having a slow start to the season compared to his 54-goal season in 2023-24. In 19 games so far, he's scored just three goals and registered five assists for eight points.
He signed as a free agent with the Oilers in the 2021 off-season after spending his first six NHL seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
