The Edmonton Oilers are sending one of their depth defencemen back to the AHL.
The team announced following their win over the Vegas Golden Knights that they loaned blueliner Josh Brown back to the Bakersfield Condors, their AHL affiliate.
The Oilers initially recalled Brown on Friday, with uncertainty surrounding Evan Bouchard's status following a minor injury. Bouchard was able to play on Saturday afternoon.
Brown, 30, has played three games for Edmonton this season tallying seven penalty minutes. The right-handed blueliner has three assists and 50 penalty minutes in 16 games with Bakersfield.
A seven-year NHL veteran, Brown has 11 goals and 23 assists in 293 games with the Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins, Arizona Coyotes, and Oilers.
