Corey Perry was down but not out.
In the first period of Game 5 of the Western Conference Final on Friday, the Edmonton Oilers forward exited in visible discomfort after taking a big hit from Dallas Stars forward Joe Pavelski.
Perry skated off the ice and headed straight into the locker room and appeared to be favouring his right arm. But while he wasn't on the bench after starting the second period, he returned several minutes later.
The 39-year-old forward was a healthy scratch for the first three games of the series before returning to the lineup in the Oilers' Game 4 win. Perry recorded his first point of this year's playoffs in Game 4 when he assisted on Ryan McLeod's goal.
The former Hart Trophy winner and Stanley Cup champion signed with the Oilers in January after the Chicago Blackhawks terminated his contract.
