The Edmonton Oilers have recalled forward Raphael Lavoie from Bakersfield of the AHL, the club announced Friday.
The move could see Lavoie take the place of forward Connor Brown, who suffered an apparent lower-body injury Thursday against the Dallas Stars.
Lavoie, 23, has not played an NHL game.
The native of Chambly, Que., has four goals and three assists in five games for Bakersfield this season.
The Oilers picked the six-foot-four Lavoie in the second round (38th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft.
Edmonton hosts the Nashville Predators on Saturday. Watch the game on Sportsnet or Sportsnet+ at 3 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. MT.
