Oilers replace Skinner with Pickard in Game 2 vs. Kings

The Edmonton Oilers have some goaltending questions as their first-round series heads to Northern Alberta.

Stuart Skinner was pulled halfway through the third period of Wednesday's Game 2 against the Los Angeles Kings, with his team trailing 5-2. He was replaced by Calvin Pickard, who immediately allowed a sixth goal off a shot from Adrian Kempe.

Skinner allowed five goals on 28 shots in Game 2 after allowing six goals on 30 shots in Game 1. Three of the Kings' goals on Wednesday came on the power play.

Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch was non-committal on who would start in net for Game 3 when he was asked after the game.

Game 3 of this series is scheduled for Friday night at 10 p.m. ET/ 8 p.m. MT.
