Edmonton Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was forced to leave Saturday's game against the Florida Panthers with an upper-body injury.

Nugent-Hopkins was hit along the boards by Florida's Ryan Lomberg and appeared to injure his shoulder on the play. The Oilers only had 11 forwards dressed to start the game because they decided to go with seven defencemen.

In 44 games this season, the 28-year-old has seven goals and 37 points. Edmonton is playing on the front end of a back-to-back, as they'll face the Carolina Hurricanes on the road for a Sunday matinee.
