The Edmonton Oilers have signed defenceman Noel Hoefenmayer to a one-year, entry-level contract, the club announced Saturday.
Hoefenmayer, 24, has spent his professional career to this point in the AHL and ECHL, primarily with the Toronto Maple Leafs' affiliate, the Toronto Marlies.
In 2022-23, Hoefenmayer had 38 points (11 goals and 27 assists) in 65 games with the Marlies.
Drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the fourth round of the 2017 draft, Hoefenmayer had never signed an NHL contract until now. The deal sees the North York, Ont., native make $845,000 in the NHL and $82,500 in the minors.
