Boston Bruins defenceman Nikita Zadrorov didn't make many friends in Edmonton on Tuesday night.
Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner was forced to leave Tuesday's game against the Bruins after Zadorov crashed into the Oilers netminder on a partial breakaway attempt.
The Bruins defender collided with Skinner when he cut right across the crease and appeared to catch Skinner in the head with his right elbow. Zadorov was assessed a two-minute minor for goaltender interference as a result of the play.
Skinner remained in the game briefly but was forced to exit, likely due to a call from the NHL's concussion spotter. Backup Calvin Pickard took over for the remainder of the first period.
However, Skinner appeared to be fine after all, as he returned to the net at the start of the second period.
Skinner, 26, entered Tuesday night's game with a 2.78 goals-against average and .898 save percentage over 26 games for the Oilers this season.
