Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman will not play Tuesday against the Golden Knights after all.
Head coach Kris Knoblauch confirmed the decision to reporters.
Hyman, who last played Nov. 19 against the Senators, has been out with an undisclosed injury since colliding with Ottawa defenceman Nick Jensen.
The 32-year-old winger has travelled with the team on its three-game road trip, with the expectation that he might be able to play. Having already visited Salt Lake City and Denver, plans appear to have changed.
The Oilers face Vegas at 8 p.m. MT / 10 p.m. ET in a game that can be seen on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
