The Florida Panthers will be without captain Aleksander Barkov against the Dallas Stars on Thursday, the team announced.
Barkov is out with a non-COIVD illness, leaving the Panthers with just 20 players on the roster for their game with the Stars due to the salary cap, per George Richards.
In 16 games with Florida this season, Barkov has four goals and 14 points, leading the team to a 9-6-1 record.
The Panthers play a back-to-back this weekend, hosting the Calgary Flames on Saturday before travelling to face the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday.
