The Florida Panthers are jotting their names down in the record books early this season.
On Saturday, the Panthers became the first NHL team ever to have natural hat tricks in three straight games.
Brady Tkachuk got the scoring spree started on Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets, potting three in succession in the second period for his first points on his new team.
Tkachuk wasn't done, however, as he added three more on Thursday against the Vancouver Canucks to single-handedly lead the Panthers' successful third-period comeback.
Then, on Saturday, Carter Verhaeghe scored three second-period goals of his own against the Seattle Kraken to officially etch the Panthers further into NHL lore.
Heading into Saturday's game, the Panthers sat fourth in the Atlantic Division, with a 4-2-2 record. They have a chance to keep the historic hat-trick streak going on Wednesday in Ottawa as they visit the Senators.
