Aaron Ekblad, Frank Vatrano and Gus Forsling were not at the Florida Panthers‘ morning skate and are considered game-time decisions, according to David Dwork of WPLG Local 10 News.
The team had only 13 skaters and two goalies for their morning skate.
Five players for the Panthers and one member of the team’s travel party entered into COVID-19 protocols on Wednesday. Sam Bennett, Radko Gudas, Ryan Lomberg, Brandon Montour, Carter Verhaeghe were the players added to protocol and will not not able to play in Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Kings.
The team recalled forwards Cole Schwindt and Grigori Denisenko along with defencemen Matt Kiersted and Chase Priskie if the game goes along as scheduled, according to Panthers’ beat reporter George Richards.
The Panthers have been without forwards Aleksander Barkov (upper-body) and Mason Marchment (upper-body), who are on injured reserve but were skating on Thursday. Sergei Bobrovsky will get the start against the Kings.
